Wines of Alentejo
A wine region with a great tradition, the Alentejo offers wines that surprise us with their excellence, aromas and colors, as unique as the landscape and the gastronomy itself. This region of vast horizons, to which the cork oaks give a sense of strength and permanence, was once a vast wheat field. Today, the wheat fields have given way to immense vineyards, whose wines receive the strength of the landscape and the warmth of the environment, and are among the most recognized in Portugal.
Wines of controlled designation of origin. In addition to the Vinho Regional Alentejano, which can be found throughout the region, the wine producers are spread over 8 D.O. areas: Portalegre, Borba, Redondo, Reguengos, Vidigueira, Évora, Granja/Amareleja and Moura, which allows for a varied choice throughout the Alentejo.
