Muxagat tinta barroca is a red wine from the Douro region. It's light red, fresh, young and rustic, with aromas of cherry, raspberry and rose.

On the palate, it's easy to drink, smooth and long, with aromas of fresh fruit and spices.

Muxagat tinta barroca is produced from one of the most widely planted grape varieties in the Douro vineyards. After hand-picking, the grapes arrive at the winery in 20 kg crates. After de-stemming, they ferment naturally in cement vats at a temperature of 24-28°c for around 1 month. Aging takes place in underground cement vats, for around 10 to 11 months.

This wine comes from a centuries-old village in a harsh, austere land, where the cold is really felt throughout the winter. Wine has always been part of its history, probably dating back to the Roman presence in the area.
