Carvalho Ribeiro & Ferreira Réserve is an Aguardente Velha consistently ranked among Portugal's finest Aguardente. Made from the same recipe since it was first produced in 1895, it is aged in oak casks, giving it an amber color and an intense, complex aroma.
This eau de vie has a very long, persistent finish, which becomes even stronger when enjoyed in a warmed glass.

Aguardente Velha is a wine brandy that can be compared to Cognac, and is one of the jewels in the crown of Portuguese gastronomy. It is made from grape marc from Portuguese grape varieties, then aged for many years in oak barrels.
