Portuguese cuisine, although copious, is still very healthy. The Mediterranean influence brings a permanent recourse to bread, olive oil and wine which constitute the food base. Popular traditions have made it possible to maintain typical Portuguese cooking utensils.

The Cataplana designates both the recipes and the utensil used to make them. Typically Portuguese, it was originally made of copper. The demands of modern life have led to the appearance of stainless steel Cataplanas, which allows them to be used on induction fires.

The Pasteis de Nata are perhaps the most obvious illustration of Portuguese cuisine. Delicious little blanks cooked in a delicate puff pastry, they require a very special mould that allows them to retain their crunchiness.

Olive oil is an integral part of Portuguese culture. It requires an opaque container to preserve its properties. Ceramic decanters represent the shapes of nature and stainless steel decanters offer their timeless design.

The tradition of ceramics makes it possible to have magnificent coasters whose designs are based on the traditional patterns of Portuguese azulejos.
